Hi. When I send an email to a single address that isn't in my address book, I get a yellow warning at the bottom of the Write: panel saying that the 247 recipients in To and Cc will see each other's address. The sent email shows the one address, in fact, so it looks like it works as expected, but why do I get the warning? If I address the message to someone in my address book, I don't get the warning.

How do Import Emails, Email Folders, Calendar and Contacts from Outlook for Mac into Thunderbird? I have exported my data to an Outlook For Mac Archive.olm, but none of the import options recognize the file.

I created a 2nd account years ago and it has worked since then. Now when I create a third account, it works well but when I disconnect I loose the account and have to recreate it again. How come?

This morning, my Thunderbird email stopped working although it was working fine a few hours earlier. The following is the error message: "Sending of password for user lepitzki@telusplanet.net did not succeed. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Username and password not accepted." After trying to find a solution at telus.com, my internet provider, I finally spoke to a real person (after nearly an hour on hold) who informed me that the recent google gmail update now prohibits third party email services, such as Outlook or Thunderbird, from connecting to Telus gmail email. And, that there is no work around or solution and that a supervisor could not offer anything further. I have been using Thunderbird for telus email for decades, I weathered the storm when Telus email moved to using the gmail platform, and I have many, many folders and subfolders. The Thunderbird third party platform allows permanent offline archiving of emails, which I require for my work. Is Thunderbird aware of this major issue caused by an update via Google? I rarely stop thunderbird, running your 137.0.2 atm because debians 128 turned into a crash-o-matic while downoading my inbox from shentel.net several months ago. Your help menu sometimes doesn't display versions. But everytime I restart thunderbird, I have to setup my local folders and msg filters from scratch. I am subbed to quite a few lists, probably 30 or more and it usually takes around 70 msg filters to get it all working. Why can't there be continuity? Or, how can I recover my local folders and msdg filter?

Thunderbird has worked great for me for years, up until a few days ago. Currently running 137.0.2 and am encountering two problems. I have several emails and this has not been a problem in the past.

Now, I start TB and all works fine for minutes or an hour or two and then some inboxes start to display "No message found". If I close TB and restart it all is good, but noit for long.

The other issue which pops up is

"The folder '[Gmail]/All Mail on XXXXXX@gmail.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."

I have over 200GB free on the drive.

PS Win 10 Pro, so maybe time for me to upgrade to Win 11 which I plan to do in the few weeks anyway.

Attachment displays size unknown. I am unable to save, download or open. Most of the online fixes suggest searching for mime under config editor. This does not seem to exist in this version. Using windows 11, TB 137.0.2

I've created a backup file from Outlook which is 17GB with my old emails. I can't find an easy way to import this pst to Thunderbird 137.0.2.

When I go for the optio "Import from Outlook": a) I instantly get an error that a trojan virus is somewhere in my PC and b) it stucks to 33% forever and after a while Thunderbird crashes.

Is there any workaround? Thank you Ev

I tried to connect to an existing Google-Mail account via 'new', 'existing mail account' etc.. Finally a Google-Login-Window appears. After inserting the username Google responses with a message, that my browser does not support javascript. However, both in thunderbird and in firefox javascript is enabled.

Hi Tbird/Mozilla - still like your app for years, but I have a question been meaning to ask for a long time. I'd like to know why, when I forward an email from Tbird that has hyperlinks in it, that

a) all the hyperlinks disable and b) the entire email renders into a bunch of text frames.

This VERY annoying. You cannot simply copy any of the forwarded-format content as you have to tangle with all the damn text frames and all the hyperlinks you're trying to forward to the receiver are dead! Why would anyone want to forward an email that behaves like this? The live hyperlinks are what you're trying to foward! Maybe it's just a setting? Feedback please, I am donor :) Thanks. jt

I am using Gmail as my email hosting and connecting via IMAP. Has not been an issue for years now, but all of a sudden there is an issue with Thunderbird connecting to Gmail. It keeps asking for password, and does not sync. This all started yesterday 04/28/2025. Is there some sort of update? Is it on the Thundebird side or the Gmail side that I need to update something? I have not changed any of my log in credentials. Thank you for any input possible.

Some time after 03.16 this am I had a problem in that I keep getting the message login to server POP3 care4free.net with user terry.dell failed......I attempted RETRY with my password and failed! I have been using the same password for this email account for 30 plus years. I can send messages but not receive. HELP!!!!

Thunderbird shows that there are 22 messages in the spam folder, but it does not display the individual emails. I would like to be able to see them. The same issue occurs with the "Junk" and "Trash" folders, or sometimes the number of emails shown does not match the number actually visible. Thank you!

A jpg atttachment no longer opens with right click. I have looked at settings, in files and attachments and have tried, open with photoshop elements, open with firefox, always ask, and save file. None make any difference. I can right click on the attachment and the menu says open, save etc. click on open and nothing happens.

I tried upgrading from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 but the update aborted at the end because of an issue with the Thunderbird - I think the transition to snap.

Now the Software updater says:

"The package system is broken. The following packages have unmet dependencies: thunderbird-locale-en: Depends: thunderbird (>= 2:1snap1-0ubuntu3) but 1:115.18.0+build1-0ubuntu0.22.04.1 is installed"

And the Synaptic package manager says:

"Transitional package - thunderbird-locale-en -> thunderbird snap This is a transitional dummy package. It can safely be removed. thunderbird-locale-en is now replaced by the thunderbird snap."

Thunderbird is running fine, as version 115.18.0 (esr channel, deb installation, according to what I see in the snapstore).

I want to upgrade to Ubuntu 24.04 and keep my well functioning Thunderbird! But I have no idea what to do.
